Lesson 2- Whole Body Listening (Oct)
We learned that we have to listen with our entire body:
from our head to our toes.
Eyes = Look at the person talking to you
Ears = Both ears ready to hear
Mouth = Quiet- no talking, humming or making sounds
Hands = Quiet in lap, pockets or by your side
Feet = Quiet on the floor
Body = Faces the speaker
Brain = Thinking about what is being said
Heart = Caring about what the other person is saying

Lesson 3- Medicine Safety (Oct)
In our lesson today, we learned to never touch or taste medicine unless a parent or trusted grown-up gives it to us.
Lesson 4- Manners at Recess (Nov)
Today we read a book about using good manners, especially when we are outside on the playground. We also helped Al the Alligator learn how to use good manners too.
Lesson 5- Big vs. Small Problems (Dec)
We learned that Big Problems require us to get help from a grown up. Some examples of big problems: There is danger, someone is hurt, someone is sick, someone is fighting, or there is a bully. We also learned that kids are smart enough and strong enough to solve Little Problems all by ourselves especially with the help of Kelso the Frog (who we'll learn more about next week) or if it was just an accident/we're okay.

Each student created a toolbox unique to them, filled with tools to help them when they are sad, tired, frustrated, goofy, mad, and calm.

We are learning different rules to keep us happy, healthy, and safe. Some rules include: Never talk to or go with a stranger; Identify a grownup we can go to if we have a big problem; Shout, run, and tell a grownup if we are ever in danger; It doesn't matter who it is, hitting is wrong.
